and a right based approach to education. Our main partners for
planning and implementing activities are:

- Federal Directorate of Education
[FDE]
- Ministry of Social Welfare and Special
Education
- Directorate General for Special
Education [DGSE]
- Provincial Governments
- Provincial Government of Baluchistan
- Universities
- University of the Punjab
- Allama Iqbal Open University [AIOU]
- UN Agencies
- International Government and Non-Governmental
Organisations [INGO]
- Pakistani Non-Governmental Organisations
[NGO] and Disabled Person Organisations [DPO]
The co-operation with the Ministry
of Education and the Ministry of Social Welfare and Special Education
started in 2003 when idpnorway
was invited to write a feasibility study related to inclusion
and a right based approach to education. The co-operation with
universities is essential for the development of sustainable and
high-impact educational programmes. Programmes designed and implemented
by idpnorway
and our partners are designed and adapted
to suit the conditions and be sensitive to the needs in the targeted
communities, departments, universities and schools.
Co-operation
The partnership between the Government
of Pakistan and idpnorway
resulted in increased awareness about inclusion and a right based
approach to education among key government and non-government
stakeholders.
