The
1st National Workshop on Inclusion was help in Bandung from the 8th until
the 14th of August 2004 in co-operation the Directorate of Special Education,
Braillo Norway and UNESCO.
A comprehensive awareness and capacity building programme for:
- Senior national education officials
- Senior provincial education officials [nine provinces]
- University lecturers [seven universities]
The programme was chaired by the Director of Special Education and the Senior Education Consultant of the Directorate. Speakers were from the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, UNESCO [Regional Office in Bangkok], Centre for Islamic Dakwah in West Java as well as, two representatives from children with disabilities learning in the pilot schools for inclusive education and one representatives from the parents.
